i have been a newbie for quite some time, have been using SG for a couple of years now (great program) and i have had PSD2FLA ever since day one and have never used it.

My question is, what is PSD2FLA and what is it used for? Or why use it at all?

thanks for any help

PSD2FLA is a program that exports Photoshop layers into a Flash project file, intact. If you're using an older version of Flash, this can be a huge timesaver by letting you avoid all the slicing, saving and reopening in Flash (particularly if you have multiple animation states of a single image). However, if you're using Flash CS3, you won't need PSD2FLA since Flash CS3 comes with its own Photoshop importer.

Ok.. now I feel pretty lame. JUST starting to work with Flash...something I have been avoiding. How do you import Photoshop layers in there? I've looked and tried everything and am stumpted?

I think its somewhere in the File menu in CS3. I'm not all that familiar with it. May be something to ask the folks at Adobe.
