Can the popular Web 2 inner/outer shadow glow effect be done with WR, so the effect is equal on all sides?

Using feathering and a 2px or 1px dark border, I was able to get somewhat the outer look, but not the inner. Still no inner glow or shadow equal on all sides.

Also, wondering if shadow transparency is possible, or would I need to create my own substitute images?

Do you have a URL that shows something like you want?

There is a small gallery of WR samples here: http://www.medialab.com/wellrounded/#demos any of them what you need?

True semi-transparency is not possible with WR. And, even with the PNG hack, IE cannot do a semi-transparent repeating tile.
