I am working in SG2 Pro and I am new to it.
I have a portfolio page with 5 different categories.
If I make a gallery for each category, how can I have just one of the galleries (and thumbnails) pop up only when their button is triggered?
Is this possible?

Okay thanks I had done that.
But this takes you to a knew page but is there a way to make the galleries pop up once you rollover the buttons.
So that the galleries show up on the same page.

Sure. That's just normal page linking.
So, make a navigation page layercomp that has five buttons: flowers-button weddings-button landscapes-button etc.
And, then make a layercomp for your flowers: flowers-gallery
Because the -button and the page/gallery have the same base name, the button will automatically be linked to it. So when someone clicks flowers-button, they'll go to flowers-gallery.
You then have two options for continuing:
(Conceptually Simpler, but slower): Make another layercomp for each of your remaining galleries: weddings-gallery landscapes-gallery etc.
(Conceptually Harder, but faster): Don't make anymore layercomps. Just open SiteGrinder. In the Pages UI pane you'll see gray/purple pages for your unlinked buttons (weddings, landscapes, etc.) Those are clone pages. Individually set their master page to be your flowers-gallery. Now each button has its own copy of the flowers-gallery.
In the Galleries pane you'll now see all five galleries there. Set their source images and you are done.
Hope this helps,
Chris |
