Please help,
Each time I've tried exporting a file to flash, it crashes without exporting.
Any suggestions or solutions to get this to work?

It's a valid registered copy of PSD2FLA and before i registered, i entered the legacy photoshop serial number in the plugins/scratches section.

Well, first test it with a different Photoshop file. PSD2FLA comes with a sample file, try that.

If it fails there too, that suggests something systemic and we'll go from there.

If that file works, then that suggests that something in your file is the matter. The dark scary corners of Photoshop files are the layer FX and text, so start by rasterizing those and saving out your file anew. Try exporting that.

If _that_ works, then you know it was one of the layers you rasterized. By turning off "Export Hidden Layers" in PSD2FLA you can control which layers are export, a little divide and conquer will help you find the troublesome layer right away.

Let me know what you find.

Chris

I had the same problem. One of the layers was larger than the canvas size - I had to crop the image - and were still some fx on that layer on the outside of the canvas!

I have met the same case. Layers of the PSD file are over size.

The PSD2FLA sample file? That's a first.

Go back to the sample file and try exporting it again. Turn off "Open In Flash After Export". When PSD2FLA finishes exporting the .fla file it just tells the operating system to open it. If your OS is configured correctly, then that file should be handed to Flash and open. It is possible that if your OS is mis-configured that when PSD2FLA hands it off to the OS that your OS (or Flash) might crash.

But otherwise, I'm not sure. Are you on Windows or Mac? I know PSD2FLA is not compatible with Leopard (Mac 10.5), though in that case it simply won't load - it's not a question of crashing.
