Hi,

I’ve just bought your program, but:

when I do a transfer from Photoshop, to Flash MX2004Pro the output result is rally not the same as what I've made, see, in Photoshop!

Mostly the blending options (effects)
Shadows are much to dark!
bevel is not correct, not the same!
Some layers are simply scratched!

In other terms, I'm better off without it and save it as before > PNG image, giving me the same as what I’ve made, without the layers, of course!

Can this be fixed (get round) in some way?
I really hope so!

Regards
Mah

Any difference between the exported graphics and how they appear in Photoshop is usually due to things like layer effects.

Photoshop does not keep rendered layer effects in the document, so they must be approximated by PSD2FLA.

If the approximation is not satisfactory you can render the effects into the layer by creating a new, empty image layer below the layer you want to render, selecting the layer with the effects, and chosing "merge down" from the layer palette menu.

We provide a script that will do this for every layer in a document if there are many.

Bevels made with Plugin filters like E-Candy, 5, impact, are no problem at all

so.. PSD2FLA fully approved Cool

thanks again for the great help

@tsummerall

Hi,

I am facing the same trouble as initially described in this thread and understood the solution, however I got quite a few layers and thus would need a considerable amount of time to applyn the workaround as stated here. Therefore I certainly would appreciate the script for automating the task.

One disadvantage thouggh I noticed. the new merged layer does not maintain the lable of the initial label. Does your script fixes this issue as well?

Thanks indeed for your prompt attention.

Cheers

Just email help@medialab.com and we'll send you the script with instructions.

It does preserve layer names.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
I have a big problem, i work in web design, so i need, that every work i made has a low weight, because in web that work that way, so here the problem all the files that psd2fla export in swf are in .png so the weight goes up too much, theres a way to change that png to other like .jpg .gif

.fla is the working file format, .swf is the delivery file format.

Inside Flash you set the _delivery_ compression choice. Thus, you can make any of those layers be output "lossy JPEG", or "lossless 128 colors" (the same as GIF compression). When you save out your .swf it'll be compressed as you have chosen.

The compression of the source file, be it PNG, JPEG, or Photoshop layer, has no bearing on the final size of the media in the .swf - you control that in Flash.

Hope this helps,
