February 6, 2005 - The whole idea behind SiteGrinder is that if you’re going to use Photoshop for Web page mock ups anyway, you might as well create the web site in its entirety in Photoshop. Photoshop, not ImageReady, has so many capabilities by itself, that you can use it to set up a complete web site with contents.
But how can any program know which page elements are dynamic and which are not? How should it discern between image and editable text? The developers at Media Lab came up with the idea of using Layers and Layer names for this. In fact, if you’re using Photoshop CS, they’re even using Layer Comps to build your web site.

March 5, 2005 - SiteGrinder deals with multiple pages in an innovative way. Rather than creating multiple Photoshop documents, you can build all the pages within a single document by creating a new Layer Comp for each page and naming it appropriately: only the elements that are visible on that Layer Comp will then appear on the page.
U Creative says "SiteGrinder is a great alternative for those who don’t want the hassle of slicing their own photos, encoding html, and learning how java scripts work."(cached)
What probably makes SiteGrinder the best tool for those who don’t want to slave over DreamWeaver or any other web designing software is its ease in creating java scripts. Rollovers and page alignment can be done in a “What you see is what you get” manner, perfect for designers who want speedy results.

April 2005 - We have to admit, we were cynical when we read the press release. We were expecting yet another glorified image slicer that would create good-looking but bloated and slow-loading sites. However, SiteGrinder takes an unusual and very effective approach. We came to mock, but SiteGrinder rocks.

May 2005 - It’s incredibly easy to use and the results are impressive; while it’s no Dreamweaver it’s a perfect tool for graphic designers who have to create the odd site but who would rather do everything in Photoshop.
