Amazingly enough it can. Using the "-fav" hint you can make a layer into a bookmark/favorites/shortcut menu icon for your whole site or for individual pages.
The "-fav" hint is used in two ways:
- A layer named "site-nav" will act as the fav icon for your whole site
- A layer named after one of your pages followed by the "-fav" icon will act as the fav icon for just that page. Thus if you have a page named "Gallery" then a layer named "Gallery-fav" will act as the fav icon for that page.
Important facts about SiteGrinder and fav icons:
- As of SiteGrinder 1.0, our fav icons are not compatible with Internet Explorer
- fav icons show up in the menu bar at 16 X 16 pixels. SiteGrinder does not scale the fav icons to this size, but browsers will when they display them. Generally it's better to prepare fav icons at this size to control exactly how it will look.
- fav icons never show up on the pages SiteGrinder creates, only in the browser's menu bar
