How do I make a basic text button with a rollover?
SiteGrinder has an unparalleled ability to easily create buttons and menus from both graphics and text. Text buttons are trivial to make and can be created in seconds.
Text buttons are constructed from type layers that have their anti-aliasing set to "none" (which has the advantage of allowing you to easily discern visually which text layers on your pages will be live styled text and what will be graphics), or that have the "-text" hint added to the end of their layer name. No graphics will be generated for such buttons since SiteGrinder will add them to the web page as text.
NOTE: Text buttons don't use "-rollover" layers. Instead you use the SiteGrinder "Text Buttons" panel to specify how text buttons should change in appearance when the user places the mouse pointer over them. (See below)
Here is how you can make a text button starting with a new empty document in Photoshop. 1. Type some text in a new type layer and name it "sample-button" |

The button on the built web page is automatically set to change style (hilite) when you roll over it using SiteGrinder's default text button setting, usually italic. You can change this rollover hilite to some other effect, including color, background color, and border style, using SiteGrinder's Text Button pane.
