SiteGrinder

How easy is it to create an image gallery with SiteGrinder?

Very easy.

Unlike other gallery offerings from lesser companies, where you choose from a meager selection of limp gallery designs, SiteGrinder lets you create your own page designs for your gallery and can then populate that design with as many images as you can throw at it. It's fast, effective, and easy.

The basic process is to simply make a placeholder layer where you want your images to be displayed and give it the "-picturebox" hint. And then make a page definition for that page and give that definition the "-gallery" hint instead of the "-page" hint.

After that, you'll probably want to add some buttons to navigate between pages ("next-button" & "prev-button" ), or perhaps specify thumnbails for navigation.

Then, when you open your Photoshop file in SiteGrinder, go to the Gallery UI Pane and simply tell SiteGrinder what folder of images you want to use as source material and you're done. When you build, SiteGrinder will create one page for each image.

SiteGrinder galleries are very featureful and include support for things like thumbnails thumbsheets, metadata, image sizing controls, aspect ratio based layout selection and more. Read about all of this and more here.
