The interiorgrow-tile hint is used as the full name of an image layer that has Photoshop's "Pattern Overlay" layer style applied. The purpose of this kind of tile is to fill the expanding or shrinking background area created by the use of the -grow hint.
The pattern assigned to the layer will become a background element of the web pages produced from the Photoshop document by SiteGrinder. The interiorgrow-tile will repeat vertically to cover the area of the document that is indicated by the dimensions of a -grow layer.
The following rules apply to interiorgrow-tile layers:
- There can be only one per document
- There must also be a layer using the -grow hint which will indicate the vertical area of the document the interiorgrow-tile will fill
- Interiorgrow-tile layers should be the full width of the document, not just the width of the -grow layer
- Interiorgrow-tiles always repeat vertically (repeat-y) and never horizontally
The interior-tile is the "highest" background element. The page background elements beneath the interior-tile are the interior background color, an exterior-tile (if any), and the exterior background color (if any).
NOTE: This layer only serves to indicate the pattern that should be used and how it relates to the -grow layer. It is very helpful visually to make this layer the width of the document and as tall as the -grow layer for visually checking the layout, but it is not necessary. As long as the assigned pattern is as wide as the document the layer itself can be any size and positioned anywhere.
