What happens with a popup when two buttons share its name?
Under most circumstances there is no problem with two buttons having the same name in SiteGrinder. They will both link to the same page. In this way you can have a graphical navbar along the side of your pages and a text menu with the same links at the bottom and everything will work fine.
The only ambiguity involves popups. SiteGrinder will only attach a popup to one button, even if there is more than one with the same name. SiteGrinder will attach a popup to the button that appears closest to the popup in Photoshop's layers palette.
For example the "Test -popup" will be triggered by the topmost "Test -button" in this layer list:
In the below layer list the popup layer is shifted down one in the layer order and so will be triggered by the bottom "Text -button" , which it is now closer to:
