Accidents or injuries in the laboratory may happen when people are careless or have not been trained in laboratory safety. You need to be aware of your surroundings when you are working in or walking through a laboratory.
Be sure to report ANY injury or accident that occurs while on the job. As a courier, this includes accidents that happen while transporting specimens on public roadways. Some laboratory exposures or injuries can cause problems later (like infections), so it is vital that all incidents are reported immediately.
