Pattern of AMI Biomarker Levels

Although not all cardiac markers will be used in the same patient to assess AMI, it is still useful to compare their kinetic properties to each other. The graph below depicts the increase and decrease in cardiac markers in a routine or classic AMI. Graphs like this are commonly used in training (and on medical laboratory scientist, medical technologist, and medical laboratory technician certification exams).
