Additional Images of Toxoplasmosis

The top image on the right is Toxoplasma gondii from a case of disseminated toxoplasmosis infection in bone marrow from a heart transplant patient. The organism is demonstrated with T. gondii mouse monoclonal antibody, clone TP3, using DAB chromogen.
The lower image on the right displays toxoplasmosis infection in lung tissue, demonstrated with T. gondii mouse monoclonal antibody, clone TP3, using fast red (FR) chromogen. Notice the clusters of T. gondii protozoa and individual protozoa. Tissue cysts will rupture, releasing individual protozoa to form new cysts.
Below is an example of cutaneous toxoplasmosis infection, which is very rare.
