Constructing Frequency Distributions

Construct a frequency distribution according to the following steps:

  1. Determine the size and number of class intervals you will use to group the data.
  2. List the class intervals.
  3. Sort the data into classes by tallying.
  4. Determine the frequency of each class by counting the tallies.
  5. Determine the relative frequency of each class by dividing the class frequency by the total number of observations.
