The Xpect® C. Difficile Toxin A/B Test (continued)

Interpretation of Test Results:
A positive result is indicated by two black colored lines of any intensity, one in the “test line” region and one in the “control line” region. A positive test result indicates the presence of C difficile toxin A and/or B in the sample.
Xpect® C Diff Test: Positive Test Result
A negative result is indicated by only one black colored line in the “control line” region and no black colored line in the “test line” region. A negative result indicates that toxin A and/or B are absent or below the detection limit of the test.
Xpect® C Diff Test: Negative Test Result
An invalid result occurs if the “test line” is partial or incomplete or the “control line” is absent or incomplete. Since this may indicate a restricted flow of the mixture across the test cassette system, the specimen should be retested.
Xpect® Invalid Test Results: Control and test lines absent, or Control line partial or incomplete. Retest specimen.
Xpect® Invalid Test Result: Test line partial or incomplete. Retest specimen.
