Aiming for the Target

  • Precision and accuracy are terms essential to quality control.
  • Let's say that you shoot three arrows at a target, hoping to hit the bull's-eye each time.
  • Looking at the figure to the right, you will see that you didn't hit the bull's-eye, nor were your arrows near each other.
  • In other words, you were neither accurate (you didn't hit the bull's eye) nor were you precise (the arrows were all over the target).
