Clinical Presentation: Scrapie

Clinical manifestations are relatively mild early in the infection. As the disease progresses, neurological signs develop along with weight loss, lethargy, loss of muscle coordination, and eventually death. As stated previously, sheep may scratch excessively, showing patches of wool loss and skin lesions. There is no known treatment.
