Much like hypothyroidism, the symptoms of hyperthyroidism are generalized and non-specific when evaluated independently, but present a classic set of findings when evaluated collectively. Typically, those with hyperthyroid function present with undesired weight loss, a high degree of anxiety, and an intolerance to high temperatures.
The clinical features of hyperthyroidism include bulging eyes, cardiac complications, and inflamed skin lesions.
