What Do I Do when Someone Complains?
The supervisor should:
Listen actively. Allow the complainant to tell their story.
Keep parties separate. Never force a confrontation between the complaining employee and the alleged harasser. Do not put the complainant back to work with the alleged harasser.
Notify the Human Resources department or other appropriate member of management as soon as possible, as defined by the company's anti-harassment policy.
