She has more than 35 years of experience in laboratory science to include management, education, and hands-on bench experience. She has written and published textbooks and laboratory manuals as well as having contributed to numerous online and print articles in the field of laboratory medicine.

Course description: This course is intended to discuss the application of competency assessment for point-of-care testing (POCT). Personnel roles and requirements within the POCT competency assessment program are included, as well as guidelines for assessment, tools appropriate for use with POCT methods, and possible corrective actions for failed POCT competency assessment.
